What to Learn in HOW Design Live 2013?
Graphic designers are like the modern-day versions of ancient painters we first learned about in school. In the past, artists have limited places to showcase their artwork, now, modern day artisans have a lot of avenues where they can exhibit their talent. There are visual arts, photography, typography, page layout, and interface design. There are also massive changes in the tools used by designers to carry out their thoughts. People who want to become more creative with their craft now utilize computers and other hardware. Despite all these leaps, many still believe that there’s still a lot to improve for the industry. People involved in graphic designing try to accomplish bridge this gap through conferences.
Being an illustrator and a graphic designer, I sometimes find myself consumed by corporate design work that frankly, pays the bills but doesn’t allow a great deal of time for free creativity. The business stationary that has to follow specific brand guidelines, or a corporate brochure that needs to be primarily text based do set some design challenges and I’d be lying if I told you that I didn’t enjoy my graphic design work.
