I’m still on top of the world here in the studio after my nomination for Wales Entrepreneur of the Year 2015 and super excited for the award ceremony on the 12th! But there’s no time to relax as the team here have been working on some super exciting projects. One of which is our brief to develop some marketing materials to celebrate WECIL’s 20th birthday! Working with WECIL has been a pleasure over the last couple of months and we’re pleased to say they are very happy with the results.
The West of England Centre for Inclusive Living (WECIL) are an organisation run by and for Disabled people. Established in 1995 they are now one of the largest Centres for Independent Living (CILS) in the country. They are managed and guided by a Board of Trustees, the majority of whom are Disabled people and a third of their workforce are Disabled people, a fact that they are extremely proud of. They provide innovative services which aim to empower Disabled people, giving them the opportunity to gain choice and control over their lives. This enables them to live independently and participate to whatever level they choose in the community as valued and equal citizens.
WECIL wanted to create a folded thank you card and infographic to distribute as well as more detailed brochure highlighting the history of the organisation and promoting the wonderful work they do. They’re bright and lighthearted approach to their marketing materials allowed for a lot of fun developing illustrative elements for both publications. Such as icons to represent working together, the community and their workforce. Support and inclusion are key factors in WECIL organisation and the friendly, simple illustrations and colours are designed to portray this.
Both the folded infographic and brochure have been printed and delivered and are now being distributed throughout the West of England. The illustrative elements will also be used across their web promotions too so keep a look out for those. We’re very honored to have worked with WECIL and hope to work with them again soon on any up and coming projects.
